Service at the hotel itself was fine. My only complaint was that they double-charged me afterwards for the stay, which I had booked on Priceline. It took a little effort on my part to get this straightened out, although they were obliging. The location is splendid for touring the important historical sites in Berlin Mitte on foot. It's also easy to get to and from the airports on public transport. The twin beds we had were not that comfortable. However, I saw a Westin Heavenly Bed room that had a double bed in it, and I suspect that one would indeed be very comfortable. In the room I had the bathroom was rather dated (it had one of those toilets with a shelf!), and I wasn't impressed with the ease of getting in and out of the tub (there is a handheld shower apparatus as well). Perhaps the room we had was more dated than many. The lobby has a lovely old-world look to it (you can see it in the Bourne Supremacy movie). There is a piano bar at night. For the Priceline price and the wonderful location, I do give this hotel a 9 overall.
