I have stayed at the Fairmont twice. Parking was a problem. The garage was full and the valets were not helpful other than to point me to a self-park garage across the street where I parked and traipsed across the street in the cold rain, having to make two trips for my luggage. Both times, construction made the rooms too noisy to nap. The front desk help was not particularly friendly or helpful with these situations. On the upside, it has an old, majestic beauty and it is near the West End.

I've travel to Dallas alot and when I couldn't get into my usual hotel, I tried the Fairmont. I wasn't impressed. They're doing construction on the exterior of the hotel and its noisy on the inside. The elevators need an major update. The hotel was busy and I to wait 10 minutes to get to my room. The only parking option was valet and there aren't alot of dining options within walking distance.
