    This is an OK Fairmont hotel. The room was nothing special, though it was nicely appointed. The bathroom could definitely have been richer. The hotel had an industrial style flush mechanism and the shower tile was disgusting 1 inch hospital-style tile. Wired internet was avialable for $12 per day. The lobby of the hotel was very nice and rich. There is the Lakeshore Athletic Club attached and free, which is one of Chicago's largest private gyms. The hotel is also attached to the Aon center shopping arcade so there is a post office, au bon pan, etc. all within a 3 minutes walk using the tunnels underneath the hotel. This is very much a convention style hotel. I prefer the Ritz, Four Seasons, or Peninsula while in chicago.
