An old hotel near Windsor Castle. Beautiful large grounds, impossible to find in downtown hotels. The golf club, spa and healthclub are lovely. ALso the heritage garden. The outside get a 10+ and the rooms are nice as well. The original building was established 900+ years ago as a private estate. The lobby, hallway are rather shabby and need refurbishing. No access to high-speed or even dial-up access. The one PC station near the main hall didn't work and the front desk attendent was not helpful at all. A large grand room for breakfast, tea etc. is lovely but the service is slow. The bathroom was very large and nice. All white carrera marble with heated bathroom floor, which is a nice touch in usually cold London. No elevator, My room was on the third floor and I had to climb the steps.
