We got married in Ravello on the 29th May 2005.
We booked the ceremony through a wedding planner but took a chance on booking the reception ourselves through the internet.
We checked out lots of hotels around the Ravello area but the one whose speed of response and informative replies to our emails was best was Hotel Bonadies.
We stayed in Sorrento for 7 or 8 days before the wedding as Ravello itself is quite expenive, (Ravello was a great place to get married as it's a little quieter than the towns down the mountain and it's very picturesque).
The Hotel is run by a family and they obviously have great pride in their family business. Suita was our point of contact and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her or the staff. They sent a car to pick us up and drop us back to Sorrento(an hour and 15 minute trip) when we wanted to check final arrangements for the wedding reception- their hospitality made us feel really welcome and pleased that we had chosen Hoel Bonadies.
The hotel is one of the more reasonably priced in Ravello and the restaurant has fantastic views of the amalfi coast. The food, service, wedding cake and entertainment were great -everyone of our guests felt spoilt.
I couldn't recommend it more and we'll definitely be going back.
They even organised a great band for us who met us in traditional costume outside the church with a mandolin and guitar and then serenaded us throughout the evening meal and between courses.
The whole experience was full of nice touches from sending out cars to look for our guests when it rained,helping us to organise transport to and from Sorrento for everybody and special flower arrangements. We felt looked after by a family not just a bunch of professionals.
